Thanks Dr. Bornestein, been waiting for your thoughts on the recent covid status. Being immunocomprised because of medication Doug and I continue to follow your direction and will mask up. Blessings Carol Henry 🙏 ❤

Thank you, Carol. I have an immunocompromised family member, and my thoughts go out to her, you and the many others struggling during this difficult time.

Hopefully, the effective antivirals will become more available, which, along with decreased disease activity, should make life better for you!

Thank you for keeping us informed. What can you tell us about long CoVid? Have you seen much in your patient population & who is most susceptible? I have vaccinated & boosted friends who say they want to get CoVid & “just get it over with”. They think we will all get CoVid at some point anyway. I disagree.

Hi, Kathy. We are still learning a lot about Long Covid. I don't see those patients, but I know it is a difficult condition, recovery can take months, and so far there is no "magic bullet" treatment (although some report feeling better after vaccination).

As for the "Everyone is going to get it, so let's just get it over with", my approach is that even if everyone may get it in the future, I would like to see some better and more easily accessible treatments should infection occur.
