Peter.. I enjoy your newsletter and am glad you have recovered. I had my encounter with Covid while vacationing in France this past May. Stuffy nose, cough and feverish (we did not pack a thermometer). My stay was extended by 10 long days. I am now recovered and without symptoms but yardwork does seen more arduous. I just received my 2nd booster and hope this last episode was my first and only.

Thanks for sharing your personal story. It’s similar to mine, as I worked as a pharmacist and was continually in contact with the unvaccinated (or unlucky) throughout this pandemic, and didn’t get infected until this past August. Two co-workers hacked on my for a week so I suspect they infected me. As a T1D, I was pretty worried so also got Paxlovid and you’re right, the taste is gross but a small price to pay. I am happy to say I kept my senses of smell and taste! 😊

I’m seriously overjoyed to administer vaccines daily at work and let’s keep spreading the message about how important they are.

Thanks for your personal perspective!
